General

After a separation, communication often becomes the first problem: ignored texts, discussions that spiral in front of the children, forgotten appointments, poorly planned custody, expenses never reimbursed… CoParent exists because these situations are everyday life for thousands of separated families. The app offers a neutral space where each parent organises calmly, without tension. No more managing everything by text or WhatsApp, no more "but you told me that…". Every agreement is recorded, every change is approved, and children are no longer caught in the middle.

The base plan costs CHF 8.- per month (both homes included) or CHF 80.- per year (2 months free). Two optional modules (Expenses, Documents) are available at CHF 2.- per month or CHF 20.- per year each.

No. One subscription covers both homes. The parent who manages the household takes out the subscription; the other joins free of charge by invitation.

Yes — 14 days, no credit card, with every module: Expenses and Documents are included during the trial. Nothing is charged before the trial ends. If you do not take the options, they close at the end of the trial and your data is kept.

Yes, from Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period (or of the trial), with no refund for the current period. After that, the household is blocked: your data stays stored and exportable, and a new subscription unlocks everything. Without a new subscription, it is erased 90 days after the subscription ends.

The dated history of exchanges, requests and expenses can be exported as PDF for your lawyer or mediator. These reports reflect the data entered by the parents: they are not official documents, and their weight is assessed case by case.

CoParent also works solo (a single account) — you keep an exportable personal log. But the app makes the most sense as a pair.

CoParent is a responsive web app: it works perfectly on mobile through your browser. Add it to your home screen for a "native app" experience.

Calendar

Each parent sees the custody schedule in colour (one colour per parent). Week, month and year views are available. Cantonal school holidays are pre-filled automatically.

Yes. You can set a base schedule (alternating week, 2-2-3, etc.) then adjust case by case. Changes are recorded in the history.

Click on the day concerned and select "Propose a swap". The co-parent receives a notification and can accept or decline in one click. Everything is timestamped.

Yes. We integrate the official calendars of all Swiss cantons. They appear automatically in your calendar.

Yes. Create a shared event visible to both parents, with a time slot, the parent in charge and, if you wish, a reminder the day before. An event that comes back every week or every other week is created in one go, up to the date of your choice.

Yes. You choose your notification preferences (email, SMS or both) for custody changes, pending requests and upcoming events.

That is a common situation, especially with young children and when contact is being gradually restored. The schedule assigns whole nights, so set the parent the child sleeps with for all seven days, then enter the daytime visits as recurring events. Your reports then count those hours separately, without distorting how the nights are shared.

Custody schedules

CoParent.ch supports all the schedules common in Switzerland: alternating week (7-7), 2-2-3, 5-2, 4-3, 3-4-4-3, 2-2-5-5, and fixed-day configurations. You set your schedule once in the settings, and the calendar is generated for the whole year automatically.

The 2-2-3 schedule is a rotating cycle over two weeks: the child spends 2 days with one parent, 2 days with the other, then 3 days with the first — and the alternation starts again. It is often preferred for young children because it avoids long, week-long separations.

Yes. You can set specific rules for school holidays (Easter, Ascension, Christmas, etc.), different from the base schedule, with even/odd-year variants. CoParent integrates the school holidays of all 26 Swiss cantons automatically.

Yes. You can adjust days occasionally via a swap request, or change the base schedule for a new period. All changes are recorded in the history.

Shared expenses Optional module

It lets you enter children-related spending (health, school, leisure, clothing…), add a photo of the receipt, and automatically calculate the balance between parents.

You set the split key per child (for example 50/50 or 60/40). The balance is calculated automatically. Each parent sees what they owe or what they are owed.

Yes. Every expense submitted must be approved by the co-parent. If you disagree, you can add a comment; the whole history remains visible to both parents.

Yes. Export to PDF or CSV at any time, by period or by child. Useful for mediation, taxes or your lawyer.

As soon as you need to track shared spending. You can enable or disable it at any time from your account.

CHF 2.- per month or CHF 20.- per year. It is included during the free trial; to keep it afterwards, take it with your subscription. Nothing is charged before the trial ends.

Documents Optional module

It provides a shared storage space between the two parents for important files: health record, school reports, certificates, prescriptions, etc.

PDF, images (JPG, PNG) and common documents. Each file is limited to 10 MB.

Yes. Any uploaded document is visible to both parents. You receive a notification when something new is added.

Why use a tool dedicated to co-parenting in Switzerland?

A standard calendar lets you set dates, but it doesn't tell you whether a change was proposed, accepted, declined or disputed. It centralises neither expense receipts, nor family documents, nor exports useful in case of mediation. A tool like CoParent structures information around the reality of separated parents: two households, approvals, shared expenses and the need for proof over time.

In mediation, the hardest part is often reconstructing the facts without slipping back into an emotional debate. A timestamped history lets you show when a change request was made, what answer was given, and how certain expenses or documents were shared. It doesn't replace legal advice, but it helps present clearer, more readable elements that rely less on contradictory memories.

When a platform holds a children's schedule, medical information, financial receipts or sensitive documents, the question of trust becomes important. A service designed for Switzerland, hosted in Switzerland and aligned with the nFADP can reassure families who don't want to scatter this data across several foreign tools with no common logic.

Yes. A calm separation also benefits from a clear framework. The goal isn't only to manage conflict, but to avoid oversights, grey areas and needless discussions. Many parents simply want a reliable tool so they no longer juggle messages, shared files, personal calendars and paper folders.

CoParent becomes particularly useful when there is shared custody, school-age children with cantonal holidays to respect, regular expenses to split, frequent schedule changes, or simply the need to keep a clean history. The denser the coordination between households, the more a centralised space saves time and reduces ambiguity.
