Child journal Soon

Child journal: the same view of your child in both homes

The Child journal is a CoParent.ch module in preparation. Each parent logs the child's meals, sleep, health and mood in a tap. At every handover, the parent who takes over sees what happened at the other home, without a flood of messages.

This module is in preparation. This page shows what is planned; it cannot be switched on yet.

Mock-up, design in progress Mock-up of the Child journal: Mila's day logged by category, with the last meal, the last nappy and the nap.

Sound familiar?

“Did she sleep well? Did she eat at lunch? Did she nap?” At every handover the same questions go out by text, and the answers arrive when the child is already asleep.

With CoParent

Each parent logs the day in a few seconds. When the child arrives, the other parent finds everything in the handover summary, without having to ask.

What the Child journal will do

The features chosen for the first version, designed for young children who move between two homes.

Quick entry by category

Meals, sleep, nappies and potty, health, medicine, mood, routine or a free note: an entry takes a few seconds on your phone, with its time and its author.

The day's timeline

Each child's entries, day by day, filtered by category. A search finds the latest one: last meal, last nappy, last temperature.

Handover summary

When your child arrives, you see what the other parent logged since the previous handover, in the calendar and, if you wish, by e-mail or notification.

7- and 30-day trends

Sleep and naps, meals, nappies, mood: the trends are shown the same way on both sides, never comparing the parents.

Daily care sheet

Bedtime routine, comforter, nap times, allergies, current treatment: one sheet kept together and read by both parents.

Protected health data

Notes and medicine names are encrypted and hosted in Switzerland. Only the parents and, read-only, the household's mediator can see them, never a professional practice.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the Child journal

When will the Child journal be available?

It is in preparation and no date has been set yet. Its launch will be announced on the CoParent.ch blog.

How much will the Child journal cost?

It will be an add-on at the same price as Expenses and Documents: CHF 2.- a month or CHF 20.- a year, on top of the base plan. It will be included during the 14-day free trial.

Will the other parent see what I log?

Yes, that is the whole point: both parents share the same view of the child. Each entry shows who logged it and at what time.

Will I be able to correct an entry?

Yes, for 24 hours, and only if you wrote it. After that, the entry stays as it was logged.

Who will be able to see my child's health data?

The child's parents and, read-only, the mediator invited into the household. The data is encrypted and hosted in Switzerland, and no professional practice can access it, whatever the mandate.

Security and privacy

The journal holds health data: it is encrypted, hosted in Switzerland, included in your household's export and erased with it. No professional practice has access to it.
